Border, Applique, Sandwich, Yay

So here we are...I'm down to the quilting itself now! Yay!
Let's see if I can tell this story...

 (This was Bummer #1.  See how the missing piece is nicely sewn into the bottom of the top of the appliqued leaf? Yeah.)

 This was Bummer #2.  I assumed I had enough batting left over from my last quilt.  Turns out, not so much, just by thaaaaaaaaath much.  Buh-mmer.

And we end today with a happily sandwiched quilt.
Yay!
